This introductory course will guide you through the essential concepts and basic chords used in jazz improvisation.
You'll discover what the different types of chords are and how they're used; what chord tones and scales are and why they exist; and you'll use these from the start in practical exercises that gradually increase in difficulty.
This all leads you to a final improvisation over a jazz standard.
You'll leave this course with a deeper understanding of jazz improvisation and a desire to continue exploring and developing your jazz playing further.
