AWS Cloud Management Tools and Services
- 4.6
Brief Introduction
Organising and Controlling Cloud Applications on Amazon web servicesDescription
When you are building your career around Cloud Computing, specially on AWS (Amazon Web Services), you would be working very soon on a project that involved a wide range of cloud services ranging from object storage with S3, Relational databases with RDS, or Push notifications with SNS just for example. You would be expected to incorporate some kind of automation towards your workflow, based on some guidelines set up by the organization. You could integrate some of the AWS cloud management tools and services, to make your work easy, and compliant. In this course, you will be learning various management tools and services on AWS, as listed below:
Autoscaling
It monitors your applications and automatically adjusts capacity to maintain steady, predictable performance at the lowest possible cost.
Cloudformation
It provides a common language for you to model and provision AWS and third party application resources in your cloud environment.
Config
It is a service that enables you to assess, audit, and evaluate the configurations of your AWS resources. Config continuously monitors and records your AWS resource configurations and allows you to automate the evaluation of recorded configurations against desired configurations.
Cloudtrail
It is a service that enables governance, compliance, operational auditing, and risk auditing of your AWS account. With CloudTrail, you can log, continuously monitor, and retain account activity related to actions across your AWS infrastructure.
Managed Services
As enterprise customers move towards adopting the cloud at scale, some find their people need help and time to gain AWS skills and experience. AWS Managed Services (AMS) operates AWS on your behalf, providing a secure and compliant AWS Landing Zone.
Opswork
It is a configuration management service that provides managed instances of Chef and Puppet. Chef and Puppet are automation platforms that allow you to use code to automate the configurations of your servers.
Service Catalog
It allows you to centrally manage commonly deployed IT services, and helps you achieve consistent governance and meet your compliance requirements, while enabling users to quickly deploy only the approved IT services they need.
Systems Manager
It gives you visibility and control of your infrastructure on AWS. Systems Manager provides a unified user interface so you can view operational data from multiple AWS services and allows you to automate operational tasks across your AWS resources
