If you become a freight broker you will be working extensively with truck drivers, owner operators and small fleets along with your shippers and consignees. This is a different world. It has its own unique language and ways of doing things that can be learned by anyone with determination and drive to do so - even with no prior experience in trucking at all - but in the beginning will be challenging to get to a point where you are comfortable and fully competent at your job as a freight broker. I highly recommend that you take my introductory beginner level truck driving courses also so that you can begin to gain a more complete idea of what truck drivers do daily and the challenges they face. This will help you build better relationships, communicate more effectively and obtain loads more efficiently. That will help you earn more and have mutually beneficial relationships with your drivers, carriers, shippers and consignees.
