Brief Introduction
Learn detailed, layered looking paint feathers, realistic eyes, use watercolour white, paint textured wood + much more!Description
A group of Goldfinch is known as a 'charm', these are certainly charming little birds to paint. With their cute look and very colourful feathers it's a painting worth giving a go.
I will guide you through mixing the correct colours; the bright reds for the face, the vivid yellow of the wings and the beautiful warm browns of the chest. Getting the correct consistency of paint also plays a big part in this painting. I will show you how I achieve this.
You will learn to work with wet in wet washes to create shape and form. I will also teach you my technique of layering details, painting realistic legs and also feet. Finally, you will learn to use watercolour white paint and how to paint a branch full of texture and curves!
So come and join me and let's paint this colourful Goldfinch together and let's get those brushes wet!
Paul :-)
