This course is for people who have just started working as a translation project manager or will be taking on that job soon.
The course is structured around a simple translation project. You will be acting in the role of a project manager in a translation company. Even if you work in the translation department of a corporation you should still find this project familiar.
There are 6 sections in this course. These are:
- Section 1 – Introduction to translation projects
- Section 2 – Initial enquiry and Scope & agreement
- Section 3 – Vendor and resource management
- Section 4 – Translation and revision
- Section 5 – Delivery and project closure
- Section 6 – Standards
The course has six assignments including a practical exercise where you create a project budget and a project proposal.
