Brief Introduction
A Java course for those with no or little experience of programmingDescription
If you've ever wanted to try your hand at programming but were put off by how difficult it all sounded then this is the course for you. (Or you may be enrolled on a college-level course but feel you're being left behind a little.) This course will assume that you're entirely new to the world of programming and explains the concepts with code and examples that you try out for yourself alongside me.
This is a course aimed at the complete beginner to the world of programming. I aim to take you to an intermediate level. Along the way you'll learn about:
Variables
Conditional Logic
Loops
Methods
Classes
Text Files
Create your own Calculator
Create a Database Project
You don't need to buy any software as it's all free. I'll show where to go to get what you need. You do need a PC, though. But you can use any operating system: Windows 7, 8, 10, Mac, Linux. No additional materials are needed.
This course is 16 hour long. You'll program along with me. There's no long, boring lectures where you're just staring at the screen. This is a course where you learn by doing.
You also get a Free 289 Page Course Book - Java for beginners. The book covers the same ground as the video course but goes into more depth. Exercises and Answers are included. The book is a PDF that can be downloaded and installed on PCs, tablets, etc.
