Brief Introduction
How to play bass guitar with an AUTHENTIC AFRICAN feel.....regardless of where you were born.Description
This course has now been updated and can be found on the World Music Method's home page along with tonnes of additional resources such as interactive on-screen notation, backing tracks, suggested listening and eBooks covering African musical history.
The course is an explanation of intricate bass guitar styles such as Congolese Soukous, Sungura from Zimbabwe and Zouk. Functioning as a clear learning resource this is still the only course in the world where students have the opportunity to see, hear and reproduce African bass examples with close ups, notation, bass tab and backing tracks. There are some basic techniques right at the beginning that you may wish to skip over if you're already an expert. I'm English and have lived here all my life so if I can master these styles then so can you, wherever you are.
