- You will need a means to write. We highly recommend Scrivener software, but any word processor will do
- You must be willing to set aside dedicated time to write and work on your writing business. It doesn't matter how much at first, but you must make it a priority and be willing to close your door to the world while you work. (Basically, you must be willing to take writing seriously, and sometimes make other things wait.)
- You must possess a strong work ethic, a thick skin, and a willingness to work hard at writing even at the inevitable times in which results aren't immediate
